Article 1What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when visiting a website. It stores your preferences, maintains your session and helps improve the service. StratAlp also uses browser Local Storage.

Audience measurement (in-house system, subject to your "statistics" consent) :
StratAlp uses an in-house analytics system — no third-party service (no Google Analytics).
Data collected with your statistics consent:
- Sessions (
UserSession): start / end, duration, device type - Page views (
PageView): path (e.g./projects), referrer, timestamp - User identifier (
user_id): collected only after sign-in, to measure authenticated user journeys (funnels, cohorts) - IP address: hashed SHA256 before storage (never stored in clear)
- User-Agent: truncated (no full version stored)
Retention: 13 months, then automatic anonymization (user_id, user_agent, ip_address → NULL). Raw records persist for long-term aggregate analysis, without any link to an identifiable individual.
Without statistics consent, no /track/* calls are emitted (gate on both client and server — HTTP 403).
No advertising, targeting or third-party tracking cookies are used.

Stripe — payment security cookies (policy: https://stripe.com/privacy)
Connected services (if enabled) — Garmin, COROS, SUUNTO, Strava may place cookies during OAuth authentication, subject to their own policies.
